I had a client ask a very interesting question. She wanted to know how she could be more in her right brain rather then her left brain. This gave me pause for thought as I sensed that what she was seeking was more esoteric then simply living in the creative side of her brain. I asked if she were wishing to be more aware of being in the flow? Yes! She was wanting to get her mind out of the way and begin to tap into her deeper wisdom and be able to flow with the Divine Presence.
This led to a discussion about meditation practice and the breath. Meditation is the best tool to achieve connection to the Divine Presence that resides within each of us. Through meditation there comes a realization that our mind keeps grabing our attention, distracting us from serenity and peace and taking us into noise…the mind only knows noise…the mind IS noise. I ask you; Who is it that realizes that the mind has taken it somewhere? It is our true essence…our Divine Presence within. Meditation opens the pathway to this awareness and from there, through the breath, we can bring ourself back to the Divine Presence within.
The graphic accompanying this post is the Celtic Trinity. We are spiritual beings (Spirit) residing within a physical body (Matter). The breath (Divine Essence giving life) is the bridge between Spirit and Matter. Our soul rides on the breath to enter the physical body and the physical body cannot survive l0ng without the breath.
