Have you noticed the ‘weirdness’ lately? This past month seemed to be doing strange things with energy. I only know a little about astrology and it seems that certain planets have been opposing each other – not to mention that Mercury was retrograde until the 10th. That may be why we felt in opposition to people and situations. Oh, and communications were – umm – difficult and confused to say the least. The best thing to do under these types of influences is to keep steady by a spiritual practice such as yoga, qigong, tai chi and, of course, my favorite which is meditation.

There is a theme that is running through my readings lately. It is about personal freedom. It is time to sort through our baggage and get rid of it! We are being energetically squeeeeezed until we let go. We can do it easy or we can do it hard; either way we are going to let go.

This is the hard way:
A teacher of mine told a story of one of his students…he said it was true. It goes like this:

The student was learning to parachute jump. At first you are accompanied by an instructor but, eventually, you must make your first solo jump…this was her time. She jumped, pulled the ripcord and her parachute, by some odd circumstance, came up between her legs instead of behind her. She panicked and grabbed the parachute. She began to plummet to the ground. Her instructor tried to get her to let go but she did not…she went down and died hitting the ground, holding onto her parachute. The moral of the story…if you choose to hold onto your stuff it will take you down.

Fortunately, most of us are not in this type of eminent danger; however, the emotional suffering we experience by holding onto our pain can be great. Often times we feel something is incongruent with our desires and we just can’t get what that is. Sometimes we need an unbiased set of eyes and ears to help us. Einstein reminds us, “A problem cannot be solved at the level of the problem.” We must rise to a higher perspective to see the bigger picture which is what a psychic or tarot card reading can do…help us get a higher perspective. Everyone benefits from receiving guidance along the way.
