The Star – Balance Between Heaven & Earth

Thoth The Star

Often we gaze at the night sky and ‘Wish Upon a Star’. We all have hopes and dreams and it seems that gazing to the heavens and making a wish is akin to sending our prayer to the Universe to help them come true.

Looking to the heavens is reaching for a higher perspective. We must bring into balance heaven and earth – the spiritual realm and the material realm before we can truly achieve our dreams. What good is dreaming without grounding our energy with action? What good is action if we have not taken the time to dream our greatest dream?

The economic times now are pressing too much toward the material realm; afraid of losing what we have, scurrying to make ends meet. We must, more then ever, maintain our spiritual practices to keep the interior realm anchored so that we are able to maintain the economic stability we desire on the external plain. As above, so below.

In the upper left corner of the Star card is Sirius, the Star of Isis. Isis is the goddess of resurrection and new life. The Angel of Time is holding two urns. One she pours onto the earth, the material plane (behind her) and the other into a pool of water, the spiritual realm. This action suggests that she has found the proper balance between the material and the spiritual. This balance gives hope and the possibility of aspiring to our dreams.

When you wish upon a Star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Blessings Always, Judee Hallee
