Greetings and Happy New Year from Sedona, Arizona

Welcome to 2013! A friend sent me an e-mail link to a YouTube video. The title of the video was “Prickly Pear”. When I saw that title I thought “that’s what 2013 feels like to me”. I literally get a prickly feeling down my spine. Have you ever had that tingling sensation run up and down your spine? It’s a combination between tickling and prickling. It gives you the sense that something is about to happen. You’re not sure what it is but it feels good. Its sweet energy, like the prickly pear is a sweet little thing, however, it requires that you approach it with caution and consciousness or you get your fingers full of little, almost invisible needle-like stickers.

And I thought that’s how we have to approach 2013. If we approach it with sincerity and consciousness it will serve us well. I see so much energy – what I call potential energy – available to us now. Potential energy is waiting for you do something with it. Consciousness forms it and the consciousness that you bring to it creates your world. That’s what 2013 is offering us -to create a fantastic world!

What consciousness do you want to bring to 2013? What will you choose to create with this energy? The choice is definitely yours. It is time to appreciate yourself, be honest with yourself and others, and to be compassionate in thoughts and actions. Consciously choose which dreams to manifest this year and set the plan in motion. Are you going to choose to see what is working in your life rather than what is not? Are you going to open your heart and share with your loved ones? It is time to look for ways to empower yourself and those around you. Grab onto this energy, ride the wave and use it wisely.
